The big surprise here though is that this will be a Gerstlauer wooden coaster, designing both the ride as well as providing the trains. The new wooden coaster will be the largest single investment in the park’s history as they clear the site for it between Rauhe Klinge castle and the Washtub Raft Ride. The coaster will be themed like a sawmill, where the trains will be designed to look like huge saws shooting through a lumber mill, passing by other large circular saws, though ravines and tunnels. The coaster will stand 30 meters tall (98.5 feet) and be 860 meters long (2,821.5 feet), and will include some “dark ride” sections. Credit for the structural calculations for the coaster goes to the renounced Werner Stengle.
